Reveal Healthier, Refreshed-Looking Skin

Your skin does not need to look perfect to look healthy, confident and refreshed. At Nurse Julie ATX, skin rejuvenation begins with a careful assessment of your skin, concerns, lifestyle and treatment goals.

Julie creates personalized plans for concerns such as uneven texture, visible pores, fine lines, acne scars, sun-related changes and dull-looking skin. Treatment options may include traditional microneedling, microneedling with PRP or microneedling with an exosome-based topical adjunct when appropriate.

What Is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment that uses very small, sterile needles to create controlled microchannels in the skin.

These microchannels activate the skin’s natural repair response and support new collagen formation. For this reason, microneedling is also known as collagen-induction therapy.

As the skin gradually remodels, microneedling may improve the appearance of:

Fine lines and early signs of skin aging

Uneven or rough-looking texture

Enlarged or visible pores

Acne scars

Certain surgical or injury-related scars

Mild skin laxity

Uneven skin tone

Dull or tired-looking skin

Microneedling cannot correct every type of scar, pigmentation concern or skin condition. Julie will evaluate your skin and explain whether microneedling—or another treatment—is the most appropriate choice.

Personalized Skin-Rejuvenation Options

Traditional Microneedling

Traditional microneedling is a stand-alone collagen-induction treatment. The treatment depth, technique and number of sessions are selected according to your skin, treatment area and goals.

This option may be appropriate for clients who want to improve texture, visible pores, fine lines or acne scars without adding a biologic or topical adjunct.

Microneedling With PRP

Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is prepared from a small sample of your own blood. It may be paired with microneedling when appropriate as part of a regenerative skin-rejuvenation plan.

Julie will explain how PRP is prepared, how it will be used, the potential benefits and risks, and whether it makes sense for your skin.

Microneedling With Exosomes

Microneedling with an exosome-based topical adjunct is an advanced treatment option for clients interested in combining collagen induction with additional post-treatment skin support.

Exosomes are microscopic extracellular vesicles involved in communication between cells. However, commercial products marketed as containing exosomes can differ significantly in their source, processing, contents, quality and supporting evidence.

Exosome products are not currently FDA-approved. The safety and effectiveness of combining microneedling devices with exosome products have not been evaluated or authorized by the FDA.

Before treatment, Julie will identify the exact product being considered and discuss:

The product’s source and manufacturer

How the product is processed and tested

Its intended use and regulatory status

Available evidence and its limitations

Potential risks and unknowns

Alternatives such as microneedling alone or microneedling with PRP

Expected cost and aftercare

Choosing microneedling with exosomes is an individual decision that should be made only after an informed consultation. Results cannot be predicted or guaranteed.

The Nurse Julie ATX Approach

Your Skin Comes First

Julie evaluates your skin type, sensitivity, current condition and treatment history before recommending a procedure.

One Plan Does Not Fit Every Face

Needle depth, treatment intensity, products, session spacing and aftercare are selected for the individual—not from a standard package.

Medical Screening Matters

Your consultation includes a review of relevant health conditions, medications, allergies, active skin problems and previous reactions.

Clear, Honest Education

Julie explains what a treatment may improve, what it cannot change, expected recovery, potential side effects, alternatives and realistic timelines.

Long-Term Skin Support

Skin rejuvenation is rarely about one appointment. Your plan may include a treatment series, home-care recommendations, sun protection and maintenance sessions.

What to Expect

Before Treatment

Julie reviews your skin concerns, current products, medications, allergies and previous procedures. Be sure to mention:

Active acne, rashes or infections

A history of cold sores

Easy bruising or bleeding

Blood-thinning medications or supplements

A history of keloid or problematic scarring

Recent Botox, fillers, lasers, peels or other procedures

Pregnancy or breastfeeding

Recent use of isotretinoin or prescription skin treatments

You may be asked to pause certain products or treatments before your appointment.

During Treatment

The skin is cleansed and prepared. A topical comfort measure may be used when appropriate.

A professional microneedling device is passed over the treatment area using sterile, single-use needle cartridges and settings selected for your skin. If PRP or an exosome-based adjunct is part of your plan, Julie will explain when and how it is applied.

Treatment time varies according to the area and selected protocol.

After Treatment

Your skin may look red and feel warm, tight or sensitive. Mild swelling, dryness, flaking, pinpoint bleeding or small marks can occur.

You will receive personalized instructions covering:

Gentle cleansing

Moisturizer and approved skin products

Sun protection

Exercise, heat and sweating

Makeup

Retinoids, acids and exfoliating products

Warning signs that require medical attention

Do not apply unapproved products while the skin barrier is recovering.

When Will I See Results?

Some clients notice brighter or smoother-looking skin after the initial recovery period. Changes related to collagen remodeling develop gradually over the following weeks and months.

The timing and degree of improvement depend on your:

Starting skin condition

Treatment depth and technique

Age and collagen response

Treatment area

Number of sessions

Home-care routine

Sun exposure

Overall health and lifestyle

A series of treatments may be recommended for acne scars, deeper texture concerns or more visible signs of aging. Results vary, and maintenance treatments may be suggested.

Nurse Julie ATX

Who May Be a Candidate?

Microneedling may be considered for adults who want to improve texture, scars, pores or early signs of aging without surgery.

Treatment may need to be postponed or avoided if you have:

An active skin infection or open wound

Active cold sores

Uncontrolled acne or inflammatory skin disease

A bleeding or clotting disorder

A weakened immune system

Uncontrolled diabetes

A history of keloid scarring

A current tan or recent excessive sun exposure

Certain medication use

Pregnancy or breastfeeding

A recent procedure that has not fully healed

Eligibility is determined during your consultation.

Skin Rejuvenation FAQs

What is the difference between microneedling and a facial?

A facial primarily treats the surface of the skin through cleansing, exfoliation, hydration or topical products. Medical microneedling creates controlled microchannels that initiate a deeper repair and collagen-remodeling response.

What are exosomes?

Exosomes are tiny extracellular vesicles involved in communication between cells. Products marketed as containing exosomes are not all the same. Their source, contents, processing, quality and supporting research can differ significantly.

What is the difference between exosomes and PRP?

PRP is prepared from a sample of your own blood. Exosome products are manufactured from other biological sources and are regulated differently.

PRP and exosomes should not be presented as interchangeable. Julie can explain the differences, evidence, regulatory status, risks and costs associated with each option.

Does microneedling with exosomes work better?

There is not enough high-quality evidence to promise that an exosome-based product will improve results for every person. Outcomes may vary based on the product, treatment method, skin concern and individual response.

Julie will help you compare microneedling alone, PRP and an exosome-based adjunct without guaranteeing a particular result.

Is microneedling safe for darker skin tones?

Microneedling can be used across a range of skin tones when appropriately selected and performed. However, irritation and temporary or lasting pigment changes remain possible.

Treatment settings, preparation, sun protection and aftercare should be personalized to reduce risk.

How much downtime should I expect?

Many clients experience redness and sensitivity for one to several days. Dryness, flaking or mild swelling may last longer. Deeper treatments or combined procedures may require additional recovery time.

How many treatments will I need?

The number depends on your concern, its severity, your response and your goals. Some clients use microneedling for periodic maintenance, while acne scars or more noticeable texture concerns may require a series.

When can I wear makeup again?

Follow the aftercare instructions provided at your appointment. Applying makeup too soon can irritate healing skin or increase the risk of contamination.

Can I combine microneedling with Botox or other treatments?

Possibly, but the treatments may need to be scheduled separately. Julie will recommend safe spacing based on the procedures, treatment areas and your medical history.

How should I prepare?

Avoid excessive sun exposure and tell Julie about all prescription medications, over-the-counter products, supplements, retinoids and recent aesthetic procedures. You will receive preparation instructions specific to your treatment plan.
