Look Refreshed—Not Frozen
Botox should help you look rested, confident and still like yourself.
At Nurse Julie ATX, every Botox treatment begins with a personal facial assessment. Julie considers your expressions, muscle movement, facial balance and desired outcome before creating a treatment plan.
Whether you want a subtle refresh or more noticeable smoothing, your treatment is designed around your face—not a one-size-fits-all number of units.

What Is Botox?
Botox Cosmetic is an FDA-approved prescription injectable that temporarily reduces targeted muscle activity. This helps soften expression lines caused by repeated facial movements such as frowning, squinting or raising the eyebrows.
Botox is not a dermal filler and does not add volume. It works by relaxing selected muscles while allowing the rest of your face to move naturally.
Common treatment areas include:
- Frown lines between the eyebrows
- Horizontal forehead lines
- Crow’s feet around the eyes
- Neck bands when clinically appropriate
- Other areas discussed during your consultation
The exact treatment areas, injection pattern and dose are determined individually.
The Nurse Julie ATX Approach
Personalized Facial Assessment
Julie evaluates your facial movement at rest and in expression, muscle strength, facial symmetry, previous treatment history and personal preferences.
Natural-Looking Results
The goal is not to erase every line or remove all movement. Your plan is designed to soften targeted areas while preserving a balanced, natural appearance.
Conservative, Thoughtful Treatment
More units do not automatically create a better result. Julie recommends an amount based on your anatomy, treatment area and desired level of correction.

What to Expect
Your appointment begins with a consultation and safety review. The skin is cleansed, and Botox is placed into selected muscles using a fine needle.
The injections usually take only a few minutes. Temporary redness, small bumps, tenderness, swelling or bruising may occur, but most clients return to normal activities shortly after treatment.
Changes often begin to appear within several days, with the full result becoming clearer over approximately two weeks. Results are temporary and commonly last several months.
Individual results and duration vary.
Botox FAQs
01Will Botox make me look frozen?
Not when the treatment is appropriately planned and dosed. Julie will ask whether you prefer very subtle softening or a more noticeable result and design your treatment accordingly.
02What is Brotox?
“Brotox” is simply a casual term for Botox treatment for men. The medication is the same, but the treatment pattern or number of units may differ based on facial anatomy, muscle strength and the desired result.
03How soon will I see results?
Many clients begin noticing changes within a few days. The full effect may take approximately two weeks to develop.
04How long does Botox last?
Results commonly last several months. Duration varies based on the treatment area, dose, muscle activity, metabolism and previous treatment history.
05Is there downtime?
Most clients return to their usual activities shortly after treatment. Temporary redness, swelling, small bumps, tenderness or bruising can occur.
Follow the aftercare instructions provided at your appointment.
06How many units will I need?
The number of units depends on your facial anatomy, muscle strength, treatment areas, previous response and desired outcome. Julie will provide an individualized recommendation during your consultation.
07Is Botox safe?
Botox is FDA-approved for specific cosmetic uses, but it is still a prescription medication with potential risks.
Possible side effects include pain, swelling, bruising, headache, facial weakness and temporary eyelid or brow changes. Rare but serious complications can occur. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience difficulty swallowing, speaking or breathing.
08Can I receive Botox while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Cosmetic Botox treatment is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Tell Julie if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.
